Recently we had the good fortune to meet a very nice person whom you may have learned about, known popularly as the "Weld Angel." Allana Beltran is a young artist-activist from Australia, working in Tasmania to save the "old-growth" forests (forests that have never been molested by humankind).

Arrested at the age of 21 for her beliefs, her fearlessness is an ideal we can all strive for. The Weld Angel and her story became world famous, evoking an archetype of love for, and benevolence from, Nature. Her partner and co-worker recently left his body due to cancer. Their courageous work is responsible in part for the recent improvement of forest protection in Tasmania.
