A Pedagogy of Non-Violent Social Action Based on the work of Ekta Parishad

This article is a "Resource Manual for Trainers" in non-violent social activism.  Researched and compiled by Jill Carr Harris, this document is at the center of a huge non-violent campaign in India today.  With permission from the publishers (Ekta Parishad), we are posting this document here, that it may be drawn upon as a practical field manual for social improvement, and education into non-violence.

The author, Jill Carr Harris (president of South-South Solidarity in New Delhi, India) has been working along side her husband, P.V. Rajogopal for the last two decades, seeking to gain land for the landless in India, and other basic rights for people. Currently, Jill and P.V. Rajogopal are involved in the Anna Hazare Campaign in India, and preparing for an international conference in Geneva. Simultaneously, she is finishing her M.A. in Canada on non-violent social movements.
